Simply Focused Coaching’s mission is to help women live happier, healthier lives using methods that are both empowering and fun. Because, let’s face it, if it’s not fun, what’s the point? So you’ve decided you want to get healthier, and it feels a little scary and intimidating. That’s where I, Julie Manning of Simply Focused Coaching, come in. I went to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to become a holistic health coach. I will help you make changes in baby steps. We will go through your pantry and sort out what is healthy and what is not. We will tour the grocery store and help you learn to make more informed choices. We will work on meal planning and meal prep. I can help you with upping your water intake and increasing your exercise. I also teach cooking classes at the local wellness center. I teach classes for kids and adults who have food allergies. I want people to feel comfortable in the kitchen and to appreciate that cooking healthy or allergen friendly meals can be easy and fun.
I am also a professional organizer. When I was diagnosed at age 44 with inattentive ADD, I was relieved to know what the problem was, because then I could go about fixing it! I read everything I could find on ADD and nutrition and organization and time management. I have developed a simple system for determining what to toss, keep or donate, and I will walk you through the process. For a time I was renting dumpsters on a regular basis, just to help me clear out my space. I can help you with retail therapy, too. I now decide in the store what items I will part with to make room for any purchases I cant’ live without. I have also developed time management systems that allow me to be on time, never miss an appointment, and fit in all the stuff that often gets forgotten.
